Whether you know a word of English or just want to improve your skills, signing up for ESL tutoring is a great first step.
Our one-on-one tutoring allows you to learn at your own pace with a curriculum that is tailored to your specific needs.
Laura Marenco, our TESOL-certified teacher (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), will equip you with the oral and written skills needed to make everyday life easier in your new country. Our classes focus on speaking, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, and listening. Improving your English skills will also help you advance your career here in the United States!
Sessions are twice a week at 2 hours per session over Zoom on days and times coordinated by the Student and the Instructor. In-person sessions are available for those in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
During registration, you will take a placement test so that we can put you in the correct level. Our sessions are grouped together according to the following TESOL proficiency levels:
Beginner
Limited or no English proficiency
Elementary
Basic understanding of English but limited fluency and accuracy
Pre-Intermediate
Can communicate with some accuracy but needs help with accuracy and more complex language tasks
Intermediate
High level of fluency and accuracy but struggles with nuanced language use
Upper-Intermediate
Near-native fluency and can effectively communicate in English
Please read our ESL Tutoring Client Agreement to learn more about our policies, including cancellation, rescheduling, and refunds. Sign the agreement and email it to the Instructor at laura@goldenbeaconusa.com or take a photo of your signature and email or text the Instructor at (866) 403-7173. This must be completed before the tutoring sessions can begin.
